How do I steer? What are the controls?

On iPhone: tilt the phone left and right to steer. The left side of the screen is braking — the top half is the brake, the bottom half is the handbrake (for big slides). The right side is the gas. Boost is the button at the bottom-centre.

Playing in a browser on a computer? Use WASD or the arrow keys to drive, Space for handbrake, and Shift to boost.

Tilt steering isn't working

CoolDrive needs Motion & Orientation access to steer by tilt — tap Allow if iOS asks when the game starts. You can also open in-game Settings (the gear icon) to change tilt sensitivity, invert the tilt direction, or re-centre the neutral position to however you're holding the phone.

There's no sound

Audio starts on your first drive, and in the app it plays even with the ring/silent switch on. Check the mute button on the radio bar at the top. The in-game radio is separate from the engine and sound effects, so you can toggle either.

It runs hot, or the frame rate drops

Open Settings → Graphics and choose Medium (recommended) or Low for cooler, longer sessions. The game also adapts on its own — if your device warms up it quietly eases a few settings to stay smooth, then restores them once it cools.

Does it work offline?

Yes — CoolDrive is fully offline. There's no login and no internet connection required; the world is generated on your device as you drive.

Where is my progress / best score?

Your best score and settings are saved locally on your device — there are no accounts. Tap reset (or press R) to restart a run.

CoolDrive collects no data

CoolDrive does not collect, store, or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics or tracking, and no third-party SDKs that gather information. Nothing you do in the game leaves your device.

The game runs fully offline and makes no network requests for user data. Your best score and preferences are stored only on your device, and are removed if you delete the app.

If you email us for support, we only see the information you choose to include in that message, used solely to help you.

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
